- Reports totaling 215 have been received to date with 194 being potentially actionable. One hundred and three of those have been assigned to the Investigation Division. Witnesses and complainants are being contacted and the closing of reports is expected to begin on November 9th.
- The Case Management Division is migrating information to the i-Sight system over the next 2 weeks.
- Job offers for case management positions were extended to 2 candidates and were accepted. They will start on November 21st.
- An offer was made and accepted for the Senior Community Specialist position. A start date is to be determined.
- Public input sessions for the disciplinary matrix are scheduled. Consult PAB’s website for more information.
- The new website is scheduled to launch in December. There will be an integration between the website and i-Sight system.
- Training is on-going for the Board and staff.
- Several questions were discussed about the investigation and reporting processes. PAB still does not have direct access to the RPD databases which has caused delays in investigations. All RPD officers have access to the databases and other PABs have gained access to similar databases in their cities.
- A report on the internal investigation of the Executive Director will be released to the Board and City Council and a redacted version will be released to the public. This is expected to happen in a matter of days. City Council and PAB will make their own recommendations pertaining to the areas under their purview.
- Rabbi Setel reported that training in the open meetings law was completed last week. Training required by the Charter will be ongoing into the new year.
- The process for reviewing the internal report was discussed and several questions were raised. Three PAB Board members and 3 members from city government (e.g., Mayor, city council) will review the report. Anything that is shared with the public will be redacted to protect the identities of those involved.
